Christmas Kindness Walk 2021

Christmas Kindness Walk 2021

Our 2021 Christmas Holiday Kindness Walk took place on Sunday December 18. We handed out over 250 Christmas knapsacks filled with toiletries, snacks, gloves and socks to our homeless friends as well as coats, blankets, warm clothing and homecooked meals. We are so grateful to all the volunteers that came out to help.  A great big thank you to our sponsors Team Home Depot!

THANK YOU!

We would like to send a heart felt thank you to the organization of Felix Y. Manalo foundations for its AID FOR HUMANITY event on June 23. The help that you freely gave out with donations of your 1,000 blessings bags was appreciated by those that received them! We are so very thankful for your very generous donation and we will be using it to bless others, and let them know there is help and they’re not alone.

Our Homeless Makeover Event was a great success!

A great big thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help on June 15. Unfortunately we had to change venues at the last minute due to the threat of rain, so we ended up at the Urban Core location. Despite the change, we had an incredible turnout. Some highlights: a homeless man playing harmonica with the band, a homeless man dancing to the music, so many people fed – 400 hot dogs, 100 burgers and dozens of pizza slices served, along with so many baked goods, lots of clothes and shoes given away, so many wonderful volunteers who gave time, money, donations, love, etc. And of course, the big event was the hair cuts and nail stations. So great to see the homeless get a fresh haircut, shave, or manicure. They were so incredibly grateful and we are so glad we were able to make them feel cared for and loved today.
