Winter is the hardest time to be homeless.
We are in currently need of donations of waterproof shell jackets and base layers (in bigger sizes to allow for layering), sleeping bags, tents, emergency blankets and boots to distribute to our homeless friends. We are always collecting and asking for warm new socks, toques, gloves, hand warmers and any other winter clothing and items during the winter months.
Please note: We are unable to pick up donations at this time. Please refer to the drop-off locations on our Facebook page.
Join us for an evening of “Class Acts”, an event hosted by Helping Hamilton’s Homeless Organization. The evening will feature live performances brought to you by talented musicians as well as a mentalist, good food and drinks will be available, along with a silent auction with items from various businesses throughout Hamilton, all to raise money for our homeless communities. 100 percent of the proceeds from this event will go directly to helping those on the street.

Our Christmas Holiday Kindness Walk took place on Sunday December 22. We handed out over 150 Christmas blessing bags to our homeless friends as well as coats, blankets, warm clothing and homecooked meals. We are so grateful to all the volunteers that came out to help.
We would like to send a heart felt thank you to the organization of Felix Y. Manalo foundations for its AID FOR HUMANITY event on June 23. The help that you freely gave out with donations of your 1,000 blessings bags was appreciated by those that received them! We are so very thankful for your very generous donation and we will be using it to bless others, and let them know there is help and they’re not alone. ❤
A great big thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help on June 15. Unfortunately we had to change venues at the last minute due to the threat of rain, so we ended up at the Urban Core location. Despite the change, we had an incredible turnout. Some highlights: a homeless man playing harmonica with the band, a homeless man dancing to the music, so many people fed – 400 hot dogs, 100 burgers and dozens of pizza slices served, along with so many baked goods, lots of clothes and shoes given away, so many wonderful volunteers who gave time, money, donations, love, etc. And of course, the big event was the hair cuts and nail stations. So great to see the homeless get a fresh haircut, shave, or manicure. They were so incredibly grateful and we are so glad we were able to make them feel cared for and loved today.
